New York Press Association

Founded in 1853

The New York Press Association awards the A-Mark Prize for Best Investigative Reporting. The Prize rewards excellent reporting and investigative journalism in the state of New York. Entries can be a single investigation or a focused series of work that exposes a wrong or clarifies a systemic problem. Judges will look for reporting with clear public impact.

The first place winner receives $5,000 for the reporter and $2,500 for the outlet, second place is $3,000 for the reporter and $1,500 for the outlet, and third place is $2,000 for the reporter and $1,000 for the outlet.
