The New York Press Association awards the A-Mark Prize for Best Investigative Reporting as part of its annual Better Newspaper Contest. The Prize rewards excellent reporting and investigative journalism in the state of New York.
The first place winner receives $5,000 for the reporter and $2,500 for the outlet, second place is $3,000 for the reporter and $1,500 for the outlet, and third place is $2,000 for the reporter and $1,000 for the outlet.
