Founded in 1873
Since 2025, the Nebraska Press Association has awarded the A-Mark Prize for Investigative Journalism. The Prize rewards excellent reporting and investigative journalism in the state of Nebraska. Entries are judged on five core elements: Original Reporting, Research Depth and Documentation, Quality of Journalism, Storytelling and Presentation, and Community Impact. This contest is open to all news media organizations based in Nebraska whose primary medium is the written word, including their staff members and independent journalists who produce the investigative reporting content.
